Print Management Production Coordinator Becomes Certified USPS Mailpiece Quality Control Specialist

PITTSBURGH, PA, March 14, 2007 – Print Management announced today that Production Coordinator Lisa Manders has become certified as a Mailpiece Quality Control (MQC) Specialist by the U.S. Postal Service (USPS).

MQC is the USPS’ certification program for mailpiece design. The course is designed to provide a better understanding of mailpiece requirements and standards for desired postal discounts based on rate and class.

“Print Management’s goal is to provide our clients with one stop shopping for their printing needs,” stated Print Management President Lee Ann Bennardo. “Lisa’s MQC certification will enable us to provide our clients with guidance on mailpiece size and weight requirements, detect potential problems upfront and make the necessary recommendations so that the best possible postal discounts are available.”

The test is comprised of 100 questions. To become certified, a score of 90 or higher must be achieved. Certification is valid for two years.

Manders joined Print Management in 2003 and has more than 25 years of print industry experience. A former typesetter for a newspaper, advertising agency and graphic design firm, Manders has also worked as an inside salesperson and managed a pre-press office. Manders’ name has been added to the USPS MQC Specialist list on its Web site.
